About

Boy writer and hobo fancier likes making people laugh in order to distract them from his various conditions and allergies. Brought up in a Wolverhampton pheasant park, he ran away to run with the riot girls of Olympia and courted disaster. With the help of a talismanic PG Wodehouse novel in his back pocket and an English accent he copied off Dick Van Dyke, he escaped the States unscathed. Dale believes his finest work was in his fanzine, Dipper. He mutters vaguely about “putting it on the Internet one day.” In the meantime he’s grinding for LOLs on Twitter as @montybodkin. (Bio by Daisy Buchanan)

He is also a television and radio writer, journalist, fiction writer, performer and musician. As well as having a number of scripts in development, he has most recently written for Russell Howard’s Good News – BBC/Avalon Television, The Impressions Show, The Now Show, The News QuizThat Mitchell and Webb Sound, One and School of Comedy. He has also written the books Last Minute Rooms in Bethlehem, F**k This Journal and Letters of Not and co-written the Radio 4 series What the Future?

He is also the producer of the BBC’s Unpopped podcast – which you can wrangle RIGHT HERE
